The two German awareness raising seminars took place at Free University Berlin on June 13 and at Münster University on June 20, 2023.

A total of 18 professionals from various courts, authorities and organisations met and shared their experiences. The lively and very discussion showed that the problems are not only in the legal field, but also that there are not always enough staff and resources available. Moreover, the outcome of the discussion seemed to underline that significant regional differences remain in the legal approaches to some general issues, such as guardianship.

The awareness raising seminars have the objective to raise awareness of the challenges in the field of international family law and migration & asylum law, to support and encourage stakeholders to further participate in the project activities and to collect feedback and best practices regarding the problems that such stakeholders are confronted with.
